For the first time the best of classic Sonic comes to the Nintendo DS for a new generation of gamers! Sonic The Hedgehog; Sonic The Hedgehog 2; Sonic The Hedghog 3; Sonic & Knuckles; It also features two extra lock-on modes from the originals whereby Knuckles becomes a playable character in both Sonic 2 and 3 to complete the full experience. Sonic DS is an unreleased game for the Nintendo DS. It was shown during the May E3 convention in 2004. The UK-based Official Nintendo Magazine ran a piece on the game which praised its visuals as being the best on the DS, but also criticized it for having basic gameplay. The magazine compared it to being the Nintendo DS equivalent of the 100 meter button dash. (Nintendo DS, 2008) If you hadn’t been there at the time, you’d be forgiven for not believing this game exists. But in 2008, BioWare, the studio behind Dragon Age and Mass Effect, made a Sonic. Sonic rush on the DS is not as good as the Wii version,but it is really fun. So the gameplay is sonic rush style, which means side scrolling from the top screen to the lower screen. And this is a very fun game, I just wish it was like the wii version, but between the Wii version and the DS version, they are completely different games. So the story is exactly the same, and they did take some cutscenes from the wii version but only two. The rest of the cutscenes are like comic book style.
