Sand Hill Stable was built in the fall of 2007 on a 50 acre parcel of land in Shalersville. We are focused on safety for both horse and rider, we encourage continuous learning, and of course we love to have fun! 1 ½ mile Groomed Bridle Trails meandering throughout the property. YES, we have a bridle trail path for riding outside the arena. Great mid day coastal breezes, outrageous panoramic views, and best of all, your horse will love the break from the arena and just cruise around.

At Hidden K Stables we pride ourselves on fun and safe riding lessons for every age and ability. Michelle Hargreaves is the main instructor and has achieved British Horse Society qualifications to ensure that your child, or your lesson, will be fun, productive, and as safe as possible.
We offer riding lessons in a variety of disciplines, including Eventing, Hunter/Jumper and Dressage. We have a wide selection of safe and knowledgeable lesson horses and ponies. Our facility has an outdoor, indoor, and dressage arena as well as a cross country course that our students have access too.
All students are asked to begin with private lessons and if it is suitable can move to an hour lesson when both student and instructor feel its right.

Lessons are paid for per month*. As a courtesy to our instructors, in most situations, we request 24 hours notice if a lesson is to be cancelled.

Students at Hidden K Stables are taught horsemanship with an emphasis on safety and understanding how a horse behaves. When riding, students are instructed in Balanced Seat riding which is the basis for jumping, dressage, and pleasure riding. They are taught correct posture, balance, communication with the horse, and riding theory. On the ground, students learn to groom, lead, bridle, and saddle the horses they ride. When the weather does not permit mounted work, valuable lessons can be held in the stables in order for every student to understand horses and their care.
